The White Salmon Cohousing Group is in the formative stages of developing an intentional community in White Salmon, Washington. A core group of members are actively meeting to discuss potential land options, financial strategies and a host of community values that pertain to a cohousing community - social structure, meals, housing options, time/work share trades, common buildings, and how to make an environmentally friendly lifestyle for individuals and families interested in cohousing.
If you and/or your family is interested in cohousing, we would be delighted to hear from you!
Our committees are meeting regularly to discuss everything from membership options to homesite development costs. Our regular business meetings are scheduled for the first Sunday of each month. Interested individuals and families are invited to our weekly Sunday potluck/activity meetings from 5-7 p.m. Please bring a dish to share and join the conversation!
The White Salmon Cohousing Group will keep this page updated as committee work progresses and opportunities become available. There are many resources such as books, video presentations and websites devoted to the cohousing community lifestyle. We encourage you to learn about this exciting option that may allow residents to live longer, healthier and more fulfilling lives, as they provide meaningful input to their communities and gain invaluable insights from other points of view.
